Indian skin possesses two characteristics that make colour correctors genuinely useful and not optional.

The first is melanin. Indian skin is richer in melanin than many other skin types, which means any inflammation, like a pimple, a cut, or sun exposure, leaves behind post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation more readily. The dark marks that stay long after a breakout heals, the shadows around the mouth, the under-eye area that looks bruised on some complexions, these are melanin-related discolourations that a standard concealer cannot cleanly cover.

The second is undertone. Most Indians have warm or olive undertones. When you apply a neutral or beige concealer directly over a blue-purple dark circle, you're layering two colours that don't cancel each other out, they mix. The result is a dull, ashy version of both. More layers of concealer just make it worse.
